Let’s make a prayer map for the following life scenario:
Your mother-in-law was rushed to the hospital after suffering a mild heart attack. They admitted her for further testing and believe her heart has suffered some permanent damage. This has sent your husband, David, into a tailspin.
1.) David and his mother have a love/hate relationship and he says he can’t live without her. (*Soul tie)
2.) David is irrational about her condition and her future. He fears she will die soon, but at the very least, her life as she’s known is over. She has no future. He makes one gloomy prediction after another to the family. (*Fear and unbelief)
Legal Foundation:
Lord, before heaven and earth, I stand in these truths.
For he was crucified in weakness, but lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but in dealing with you we will live with him by the power of God. 2 Corinthians 13:4
He is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against him, and succeeded? Job 9:4
To Him who rides upon the highest heavens, which are from ancient times; Behold, He speaks forth with His voice, a mighty voice. Psalm 68:33
Soul Tie: Because I am one flesh with David, I am asking You to break the soul tie between David and his mother. This is not of you. Sever the toxic connection and forgive him for his idolatry. Cleanse him of all effects of this unholy alliance. Strengthen the connection between him and You. Help him turn to you as His helper, for the things his mother has provided that has fed this co-dependency. He can live without her because You are His life-source.
I pray that the eyes of David’s heart will be enlightened so that he may know what is the hope of Your calling, what are the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of your power for David if he believes. Ephesians 1:18
Fear and Unbelief: Lord, David forecasts doom. In Your name, I ask you to be longsuffering about every potentially untrue and faithless word David has spoken regarding the future. Use his mother’s frail health as a catalyst to teach David about faith in suffering. Help him lean on you and the power of Your promises.
Bind David to the truth and loose him from the effects of his faithless words. May they have no binding effect over his mother’s life. Your Word says that You ‘deliver even the one who is not innocent because he is delivered through the cleanness of another’s hands.’ In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
You might be asking ~ ‘Can we ask God to hold back the consequences of another’s sin?’ Yes, we can ask God to withhold judgment for a while longer.
“He delivers even the one who is not innocent, who will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.” Job 22:30
“Therefore he said he would destroy them—had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath from destroying them. Psalm 106:23
If we are right with God, our intercession for others moves the heart of God and often results in God withholding judgment. He is long-suffering, historically, giving room for repentance and heart change.
Daughters of promise 
Thank you Christine; Yes, toxic soul tie and idolatry; I might add in my experience jealousy , hate, envy, murder. In the Chinese culture it was told to me by my Chinese friend, that the motherin law often kills the daughter in law once the son is born. This Chinese friend of mine recognized the toxcity of
my mother in law to me; the damage has been tremendous to include the forced coerced abortion and hysterectomy at age 30; certainly this is the spirit of death and destruction.
So, Heavenly Father,
I give you praise glory and honor that in YOU there is life hope and peace. Help me to forgive my husband’s part in being trapped in pride, arrogance, narcissism to such an extent as to allow his mother and father to shame and humiliate me because of their greed and fear; for causing me to participate in this self condemnation and hiding it by religious attendance of church every Sunday, Sunday eve and Wednesday. For give my weakness, LORD, my inability to stand against the gang up against me reinforced by the intimidation of religious self righteousness and pride. Forgive me for not standing up for myself when I was just a baby Christian and could not. I give you praise glory and honor, Father for the LORD Jesus Christ who shed his blood on Calvary for my sin and shame. And your promise, Father that you wash me white as snow. Help me, strengthen me to continue to stand in this now 47 year marriage ; thank you Father that you provided a job for me, and a place to live, I give you all the rpaise glory and honor. Thank you Father for healing all my diseases and redeeming my life from destruction, from the pit. And Father I now by faith cancel the curse put on me and my son and even my husband by these actions, I destroy this family cult now by faith that it may never rise again in Jesus most precious name, and I thank you Father for Personal Christianity , for a personal relation ship with YOU as the enemy comes in like a flood, that YOU Father raise up a standard against the enemy.
Father, the wounding to me and my sister and my parents by this family, by their covert actions has been tremendous; help me to continue to forgive myself and all involved.
